If your motorhome is manufactured in the year 1999 or before you are most likely to need the thatcham cat 1 alarm. This is because most vehicles of this age or before did not have a manufacturer’s immobiliser from new.
If manufactured after this year you will normally have an immobiliser system built into the ignition key, so we can upgrade the immobiliser you already have by fitting the 2 to 1 upgrade alarm and still certificating for insurance as a cat 1 equivalent.
