 The Marine Protector + incorporates a movement sensor, which detects unauthorised movement of your asset. The unit is covertly installed on the asset. There are no signs of any installation so a potential thief would not be able to tell if SmarTrack was fitted.
If the vehicle is stolen (illegally moved) a signal is sent to the SmarTrack Secure Operating Centre who will in turn call the owner to confirm a possible theft. If the theft is confirmed, SmarTrack can begin to track the asset live.
The Marine Protector+ is fitted with its own battery back up system; if your vehicle battery was to go flat or be disconnected SmarTrack will call and alert you of this.
If your asset is stolen you would need to obtain an incident/crime number from your local Police and pass this to the 24hr SmarTrack Secure Operating Centre.
SmarTrack will then establish the location of the stolen asset using satellite based GPS technology and highly detailed mapping screens. We then liaise with the Police, security and recovery services. We will provide regular location updates as necessary until your asset is located and recovered.
